Laurel Ridge:

Location:

Laurel Ridge is situated half way between Bryson City and Cherokee.  A short 10 minute drive brings you to the center of the area’s most popular attractions.  Enjoy white water rafting on the Nantahala River, rides on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad or antiquing at local shops in Bryson City and the quaint village of Dillsboro. The road to the Cottage is pave most of the way with just the last few feet being gravel.

Exterior:

The last turn of the gravel road ends into the gravel parking lot at the rear of the cabin and is large enough to easily turn around your vehicle.This cottage is a single level floor plan with no steep steps to climb. The rustic arbor on the side of the cabin leads you up a flagstone path beautifully landscaped with mountain laurel and hosta, to the shaded deck. The deck has plenty of seating to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the quiet seclusion surrounding the cottage. A stone path at the back of the deck leads up to the outdoor Hot Tub where the quiet of the forest surrounding it adds to its comfort and relaxation. Past the hot tub is a small yard lined by forests on either side that ends at a small mountain view. In this quiet secluded yard you can dine outside and enjoy watching the sun paint the sky through the trees or gather round the fire pit when the air is cool and crisp.

Entry Level:

Laurel Ridge is as charming and picturesque as any bed and breakfast, but offers privacy you want for a special vacation. Aged knotty pine paneling and hardwood floors are found throughout the house. As you enter the front door the beautiful mountain setting fills the windows surrounding the dining table. The centerpiece of the den is a fieldstone fireplace containing a wood burning stove for those cold winter nights. Antiques and rugs sprinkled through the house give it character and warmth. The fully appointed kitchen offers all of the ding and cooking utensils needed for a comfortable stay. A dishwasher, washing machine and dryer complete the necessities. The first bedroom has a Full size bed and is tastefully decorated in casual mountain style. Peaceful colors and a queen size bed in the unexpectedly large master bedroom will make for restful nights. A window seat complete with soft pillows is perfect for curling up with a good book! The full bath across the hall from the master bedroom has a tub/shower combination and features a painted stenciled floor.
