The long covered porch is a quiet place to relax in the fresh mountain air and listen to the local birds.

Location:
Forget Me Not Getaway is located in the center of all the popular summer activities. Just 5 minutes from downtown Cherokee. Approximately 15 minute to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson City. Diner and shopping in Dillsbrough is also about 15 minutes away.
Exterior:
The gravel driveway leads to a wide parking area. The covered front porch looks out over the wooded mountain side. At the far end of the front porch a couple of stairs lead down to an open deck, where sets one of the most relaxing and popular features of the cabin, a professionally cleaned and maintained hot tub. Here the warm massaging waters combine with the fresh mountain air and natural scenery to create a truly relaxing experience. For an added experience try the hot tub at night when the stars fill the sky. The back yard is accessed from the porch. The back yard has a wide and flat lawn with fire pit to roast marshmallows or chase fireflies with the kids, adults can too after all that is what a getaway is for.
Entry Level:
The first floor entrance leads into the open floor plan of the dining room, living room and kitchen. The comfortably warm and casual spirit of this getaway cabin fills every corner of this cabin to the wood paneled cathedral ceiling. The dining area where four guests can enjoy a meal from the full kitchen; which is just past the dining table and around the bar where three more guests can eat. The kitchen is newly remodeled with upgraded appliances including dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker (don't forget to bring your favorite ground Coffee, sugar and creamer). The master bedroom is accessed from the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The first floor bath is also accessed from the kitchen. The open living room has a comfortable sofa in front of the gas log stone fireplace and a satellite TV. The covered front porch is accessed from the living room. Stairs to the second floor begin in the living room.
Upper Level:
The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bath. The second bedroom on the upper level has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a twin size bed.

Jon, Christina, Alayna, Jonathan, James, and Candence had the greatest time here at “Forget Me Not Getaway”. It is beautiful and very relaxing. We are so sad to leave. Thank you for letting us experience this AMAZING place.

Our trip was planned very last minute and we were looking for somewhere we could just relax and spend some good ole’ family time with our kiddos! The “Forget Me Not” experience was EXACTLY what we needed. We absolutely felt relaxed and comfortable, and we’ll never forget it when we plan our next trip to the mountains. Thank you for being so kind to rent out such a lovely getaway for us. A few favorites for our family were sitting on the back porch, the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and watching the lightning bugs was awesome. Everything was perfect, wouldn’t change a thing.

One word comes to mind. Amazing! This place has a special relaxing energy that you can feel the moment you walk in. Then when you look out the front door, you feel like you are in heaven. Very warm and cozy. Very scenic.
