Location:

Boulder Bluff Log Cabin is located within the gated community of Mountain View Estates. The Cherokee NC location of this log cabin means that it is just a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, downtown Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bryson City is about a 10 minute scenic drive away. The eastern start of the famously scenic touring road named "The Tail of The Dragon" is about a 20 minute ride down the Great Smoky Mountain Expressway ( HWY 74 ). White water rafting on the Nantahala river is around a 25 minute ride through some of the most scenic roads of North Carolina. All the roads leading to and from this cabin are paved.

Exterior:

The true log cabin construction of this large 3 bedroom cabin seems in harmony with the Cherokee mountains surrounding it. Immediately from the time you step out of your vehicle or off your bike on to the paved parking area, the scenic mountains stand large across the horizon. A few steps connect the paved parking area to the large covered front deck of this cabin. The deck has two gazebos. The first gazebo is home to the covered professionally cleaned hot tub. It has been stated by many that the mountain views and sunsets from the hot tub are a vacation destination to themselves. The deck also has a few rocking chairs to relax and enjoy the cool mountain air and maybe a fresh morning cup of coffee or a good book. The second gazebo attached to the front deck, is ready for dinning out to the beautiful mountain views with a dinette set. Gather the family around the fire pit in the front yard and watch the sunset over the mountains and the stairs fill the sky above you. A small covered deck on the back of the cabin, off the kitchen has a gas grill. The front door is under the cover of the front deck.

Entry Level:

The front door opens to the living room where natural wood tones, a gas log stone fireplace, and leather sofas create a calming and inviting atmosphere. A satellite TV is also in the living room. The natural wood walls continue into the dinning area next to the living room and across from the kitchen. The dining table seats 4 guest. The kitchen is also accented with natural elements of granite and wood. The full size kitchen has stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and all cooking and dining utensils. The breakfast bar in the kitchen seats another two guest. A small hallway off the kitchen leads to a romantic master suite that rivals the amenities of a five star hotel. Here, a king size bed sets opposite a stoned gas log fire place. A flat screen satellite TV and DVD player is above the fireplace. The private master bath has a jacuzzi style tub. A half bath is also off the kitchen.
Upper Level / Loft:

To the right of the front door is the stairs leading to the upper level. At the top of the stairs to the right is open loft area with a futon in front of a satellite TV. The first room at the top of the stairs is the second bedroom that has a queen size bed. The next door along the upper level walkway is a full bath. The last room of the upper level is the third bedroom. The third bedroom is great room for the kids with a twin size bunk bed, a full size bed and a satellite TV DVD player combo.

My wife and I came here to enjoy our 10th wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! It was everything we had hoped for and more. Every couple should get away alone like this to rekindle their love. The view and cabin were outstanding and breathtaking. Newfound Gap with 6" of snow was beautiful! Traveling up 441 through the mountains and entering the snow zone was well worth the trip. We walked away with many memories that will last a lifetime!

First time here during Halloween and I must admit, Bryson City does it right. The whole town went trick-or-treating! Everett Street was every kids dream. Shopkeepers were dresses in costumes and hot dogs, pop corn and drinks were free, not to mention the candy for the kiddies! Visited Uncle Bills Flea Market and heard the band play at Across the Trax. There is never enough time!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin in the mountains. The view was awesome and we loved the quite atmosphere. Rode our Harley's everyday and loved it! So different from Florida. People were friendly and we enjoyed our friends together for a week of fun, relaxing in the fall time in the Carolina's

Our family had a great time. The cabin was wonderful! We had many memorable family meals and the kids had fun making smores around the fire pit. It was nice to play games, sit in the hot tub and just enjoy each others company.

Boulder Bluff was everything we hoped it would be and more. I am a home builder back home, so I spent a bunch of time wondering through this beautiful cabin and getting inspired. I love the railings, the structural floor beams, and the window placement that show off the mountain views. Off the web site, I chose this cabin because of the view from the hot tub. And every evening, my wife and I watched the sun go down while soaking. The sun had a way of holding on as long as possible before being quickly swallowed by the mountains. Never saw anything like that. Then when it's really dark, I'd just stand in the windows by the bunk beds upstairs and gaze at the stars. Many of our vacations are action packed, but this romantic retreat, the two of us were happy to just cuddle up and read a good book.

Beautiful view- enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking out at the mountains. Love your fireplace! We kayaked the Nantahala, lots of fun. We tried the zip line canopy tour, very cool but not long enough. Had a great time and hate to leave! Back to "real life."
